Unfunded FECA Liability
Definition
This account is used to record the amount of Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) liability billed to federal entities by the Department of Labor for FECA payments made on the federal entities' behalves. This liability will be funded by future years' budgetary resources. This is not an actuarial liability. This account does not close at year-end.
