This account is used to record the amount of cash available for the U.S. Treasury to meet its daily operations. This account includes balances from tax collections, other revenue, federal debt receipts, and other various receipts net of cash outflows for budget outlays and other payments. This account is for the General Fund of the U.S. Government use only. This account does not close at year-end.
